- Deliver end-to-end Android features from discovery and design through build, test, release, and early-life support.
- Build and maintain native Android components in Kotlin using modern architecture (MVVM/Clean, modularisation).
- Collaborate with Product, UX, and API teams to shape usable, resilient solutions.
- Ensure high engineering quality via code reviews, automated testing, and continuous refactoring.
- Embed secure-by-design practices aligned to banking controls (secure storage, authentication, data protection).
- Improve app reliability and performance (crash/ANR reduction, startup time), contributing to CI/CD and release readiness.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Strong commercial experience delivering native Android apps in production.
- Expert Kotlin with solid Android SDK fundamentals (lifecycle, threading, background work).
- Experience with Jetpack (e.g., ViewModel, Navigation, Room, WorkManager) and modern app architecture.
- Strong API integration skills (REST, error handling, resilience; offline where relevant).
- Proven automated testing experience (unit + UI tests: JUnit, MockK/Mockito, Espresso).
- Strong mobile security awareness and secure coding practices for regulated environments.
