Leading the governance, reporting, risk and control within the Transformation Office, you will play a key role in running the Shared Services Portfolio Change Delivery across the Bank
 The Operations Shared services Transformation Office serves to enable the Programme to deliver the targeted customer outcomes within the financial targets set. The jobholder will be at the core of the Transformation Office, working independently and with a high level of flexibility to consult with the business at all levels. They will need to have the ability to work closely and build good relationships with Operations, Technology and Shared Services Transformation. The jobholder is expected to successfully engage in multiple governance and reporting initiatives simultaneously whilst managing an effective global team of PMO resources. 
The role will work with global stakeholders based in all continents to deliver effective governance across GCOO Shared Services Transformation, in accordance with Change Framework requirements, with a governance framework that allows the escalation of the appropriate messaging to the required audience.


What you’ll do
    • Question current state of the governance stream to identify opportunities for improvement and through having knowledge across the portfolio, identifies opportunities for governance efficiencies identified through analysis of RAIDs or Controls. 
    • Develop long and short-term plans for governance, RAIDS & Controls activities.  
    • Set the governance and controls pace and reporting rhythm, driving a culture of high transparency and removing barriers to successful delivery. 
    • Design and maintain governance forums across all levels of Shared Services Transformation that are consistent and that are not too labour intensive by leveraging pre-existing reporting from central systems, allowing programme resources to focus on delivery. 
    • Share governance best practices and toolkits within the Portfolio, adding value to internal Transformation Programmes and regional governance frameworks.
    • Lead the external and internal reporting for Shared Services Transformation Portfolio, generating creative reporting including dashboards to answer specific requirements for management information. 
    • Use knowledge to divert the leadership team to the major risks and issues facing the programme, including impact of change requests.   
    • Ensures NFRs compliance & management; Change Execution Risk, Change Framework Controls and Group Investment & Execution Oversight team protocols interpretation, Implementation, embedding and compliance against 15 Change Standards
    • Identify and lead automation opportunities for programme reporting, ensuring that the team’s time is used as efficiently as possible, and that repetitive reporting is automated from systems wherever possible. 
    • Report risks, issues and dependencies to the leadership team to enable them to take the appropriate actions and decisions. 
    • Create innovative fit for purpose reporting to address key topics to enable the programme to move in the right direction. 
    • Gather, quality assure and report financial submissions on the performance of the portfolio.
    • Facilitate in resolving any regional / programme interlock issues through targeted reporting. 
    • Timely and accurate reporting of finances allowing for increased control of costs & benefits. 
    • Proactively monitor areas of concern to allow value add management insights. 
    • Check and challenge status updates to garner quality management information.
    • Ensure suitable knowledge sharing and though the use of central repositories and SharePoints.

    • Implementing targeted strategies to identify, develop and retain talent within the Transformation Office.
