This role resides under Traded & Treasury Risk Management function and is part of the global Risk & Compliance organisation. Traded Risk function monitors, evaluates and manages market and counterparty risks impacting across the HSBC Group. It is responsible for establishing the global risk management framework for Traded Risk and plays a key role in ensuring that the Bank is compliant with current and future regulatory requirements relating to Traded Risks and their capitalization. Traded Risk Senior Analyst (MR) acts as a subject matter expert with respect to market risk process focusing on quantitative analysis of risk metrics. He is a results-driven individual who aspires to innovate, improve and embed solutions that enable effective day-to-day risk management.

What you’ll do
    • Perform consolidated risk reporting and analysis at different levels across various HSBC lines of business.
    • Perform capital reporting as per FRTB Standardized Approach requirements.
    • Support risk managers with implementation, calculation, calibration and maintenance of risk measures as well as development of new risk reports.
    • Support internal initiatives to deal with regulatory challenges as well as optimise the control framework of the Traded Risk function.
    • Support the change delivery of risk systems by providing requirements, assisting development and UAT testing.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Risk Managers, Front Office, Middle Office, Product Control, etc.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • University graduate in quantitative related degree (e.g. finance, mathematics, econometrics)
    • 2+ years of relevant experience in banking e.g. Risk, Product Control, Front Office, Middle Office 
    • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, trading business as well as market risk concepts
    • Good understanding of key risk factors for different asset types, risk sensitivities and how they are measured as well as risk management techniques 
    • Desirable previous hands-on exposure in at least one of the following subjects: VaR, IRC, RWA reporting and corresponding regulatory framework (inc. FRTB)
    • Preferably international financial/risk accreditation e.g. CFA, FRM, PRM
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must. Desirable coding skills in Python, VBA, SQL
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (with English both written and oral at B2 level or higher). Self-starter, who can think proactively and able to work without constant supervision

The pay range for this role is 11 775 PLN – 17 658 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
