About the role:

  • The Innovation & Ventures team’s mission is to analyse societal, financial, and technological trends affecting economic activity and the financial services industry and bring that knowledge into the team to create new digital opportunities that are aligned to business goals. At the center of our services is the ability to identify, incubate and accelerate new products and services that can help serve the bank’s business and strategic needs.
  • This role of Full Stack Engineer will be crucial in developing and deploying enterprise level AI solutions across multiple lines of business.
  • This Full Stack Engineer role is instrumental in developing and implementing AI-powered solutions to address various challenges and enhance the bank’s operations. The role is responsible for AI-solution development and deployment, working closely with Lab AI engineering team and other teams to ensure a rapid software and research development lifecycle.

In this role, you will:

  • Play a key role in developing, implementing, and integrating AI algorithms into the bank’s applications, ensuring they perform accurately and efficiently.
  • Involve in designing AI-based applications and solutions that can improve the bank’s efficiency, customer experience, and decision-making processes.
  • Focus on either the front-end or back-end components of applications and develop yourself on the other ones, ensuring seamless integration and smooth functionality of AI features with existing systems.
  • Document code, processes, and solutions, and upskill yourself on sharing knowledge through presentations, workshops, or training sessions with other team members.
  • Work alongside data engineers and scientists to assist in data preparation, handling, and analysis tasks.
  • Test AI functionalities, identify bugs, and provide input for debugging and improvements.
  • Implement any Risk & Compliance best practices to ensure system security and compliance.
  • Involve in code and infrastructure optimization to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Engage in research and innovation to explore how cutting-edge AI techniques can be applied to the banking domain.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in Full Stack development, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
  • Good understanding of AI concepts like machine learning, model building and evaluation.
  • Hands on experience with at least one cloud platform like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, or Vue.js) for front-end development.
  • Knowledge of server-side technologies like Node.js, Django, or Spring to develop APIs and hand data processing.
  • Knowledge of working with databases, both SQL and NoSQL.
  • Familiarity with popular AI frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Proficiency with Git or other version control systems.
  • Understanding of security best practices, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards within the banking industry.
  • Good analytical, design and problem-solving skills; excellent team player with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Intellectually curious and creative who enjoy solving challenging, interesting problems, and building breakthrough products with a growth mind-set.
  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written form.
  • Experience of working in a DevOps focused environment and working in an Agile Team.
  • Be able to work across multiple domains of knowledge and skills and share knowledge across the team.

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art AI technologies like supervised & unsupervised learning, NLP, computer vision, and deep learning.
  • Prior experience in Large Language Modelling (e.g., GPT / Llama / Vertex AI) Transformation.
  • Business knowledge in financial services industry (retail, wholesale and investment banking, wealth management, insurance, financial markets, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data visualization libraries and tools.
  • Understanding of containerization tools like Docker.
