We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Group Scenario Analysis Analyst – Traded Risk.
The role sits within Group Scenario Analysis team under the Capital Management and Stress Testing and is responsible for supporting scenario design and calibration for a wide range of exercises incl. traded risk BAU, regulatory exercises (PRA, ECB, HKMA) and internal stress testing (GIST, ICSA, GRP, TWD).

The role offers great exposures to a wide range stakeholders from business (MSS, Market Treasury) and Risk (traded risk, treasury risks) and opportunities of contributing to climate & nature scenario analysis

In this role, you will: 

•    Contribute to regular market and economic analyses including production of weekly economic and market tracker. 
•    Aid the calibration of relevant stress scenarios (historical & vulnerability analysis, shock calibration, pack production, minute taking. 
•    Lead the offshore support team to manage daily/weekly/monthly scenario expansion process.
•    Engage with wider stakeholders on scenario governance / R&C.   
•    Complete methodology review, documentation, process & control enhancement.  
•    Produce Excel reports and use writing skills to produce high-quality PowerPoint packs for governance meetings.  

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•    Risk management or treasury experience.
•    Strong data analytics skills using Excel and ability to work with data and manage processes with high accuracy.  
•    Strong writing experience and proven ability to communicate concisely, able to make high-quality packs for governance meetings using Powerpoint.
•    Good understanding of financial products including derivatives at least at concept level.  
•    Previous experience in Group Treasury, MSS, traded risk, market treasury would be an advantage.
•    Previous experience in economic analysis and assessment of financial markets behaviour would be an advantage.
•    Experience coding in Python would be an advantage aswell as coding skills useful, e.g. VBA, R, MATLAB, SAS, EViews.

The base location for this role will be London and with a hybrid working pattern.
