Reporting to HBTR COO, the Head of Performance & Transformation provides dedicated, forward thinking and strategic business management support and manages bank’s change and simplification agenda.

• Strategic Business Management Support: This key role will be instrumental in driving and managing strategic projects, coordinating business activities, supporting CEO and Head of Banking, COO and Head of IWPB with a broad range of short and long term projects, strategic and ad-hoc requests, alongside cyclical work pieces such as annual planning and monthly tracking of performance.
• Financial Performance: Managing and monitoring majority of bank’s cost base in terms of both direct and intercompany recharges perspectives to optimize P&L impact, find saving initiatives and streamlining opportunities by leading studies both within and outside of the country.
• Organizational Design: Working with COO, iWPB and CIB Exco members to determine organizational and transformation opportunities and following up the execution.
• Change Management: Managing critical change programs as well as governing iWPB and CIB order book portfolio of the bank in alignment with strategic priorities.
• COO & CIO Employee Engagement: Building COO & CIO people plan to include leadership, communication and other activities and ensure execution of them for increasing people engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications
The role holder will have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Strong knowledge and understanding of the external environment within Country and Banking
• Understanding of the HSBC Group and its strategy, structures and processes
• Understanding of the HSBC Turkey dynamics and its strategy
• Knowledge of COO & CIO Teams – functionally, operationally and financially
• Exceptional leadership and management capability to manage a senior team of diverse backgrounds
• Understanding & experience in managing financials in terms of both bank P&L and costs
• Diverse experience and a variety of skills related to managing financials, communication / governance activities, managing risks and other related topics.
• Demonstrated business knowledge, experience of leading a complex activities within a global environment and evidence of driving with future focused approach
• Evidence of effective execution of goals and delivery of clear results
• Ability to manage and mitigate operational risk effectively, balances the growth agenda with managing risk
• Experience working with wide range of departments
• Experience of managing and building a diverse and dispersed team, inspiring and motivating others and communicating with impact
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced level of English and presentation skills
• At least 10 years of related and / or cross functional experience in industry
• Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the most senior level in HBTR and Region
• Understanding / interpreting complex business situations and ability to summarize them for senior level
• Proven track record in developing and retaining critical talent and building effective management teams;
• Proven ability to prioritize competing demands
• Proven ability to provide smart and creative solutions
