IWPB & CIB Business Financial Crime Risk (BFCR) Advisory Manager will facilitate and manage activities to continue to drive and implement a consistent and effective financial crime risk (FCR) management framework throughout IWPB & CIB.
As an advisory role, he/she is responsible for the management and delivery of the defined IWPB & CIB BFCR standards across all FCR risks. The role is responsible for:
• Identification and mitigation of financial crime risks within the IWPB & CIB portfolios and alignment with KYC/CLM Teams to ensure the KYC process at on-boarding and remediation/review is robust and addressing the key financial crime risks respectively
• Oversight and management of the FCR governance framework, timely and accurate reporting to committees/ external stakeholders
• Input to IWPB & CIB Line of Business Procedures (LoBPs) development and implementation for all three risk areas (AML, Sanctions, AB&C), control management around non-compliance, end to end oversight of control owners and Global FIMs and DIMs for each of the respective risk areas
• Manage, supplement and assess MI that measures the effectiveness of the businesses’ FCR framework, incorporating within relevant governance meetings to appropriately inform decision making
• Develop a robust communications strategy supporting the awareness of AML, Sanctions and AB&C risks/policies complimenting development of a compliance culture throughout IWPB & CIB
• Promote a strong FCR compliance culture throughout IWPB & CIB through management communications, behaviours and actions encouraging courageous integrity in managing FCR
• Prepare Management Information & Governance submissions for IWPB & CIB BFCR
• Prepare & deliver awareness programmes across key stakeholders for FCR for IWPB & CIB
• Review, localize and keep up to date policies and procedures & other documentation related to FCR for IWPB & CIB.
Qualifications
• Understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes and objectives
• Strong relationship management, interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively and confidently at senior levels
• Understanding of IWPB and CIB’s proposition, the financial services landscape and competitor developments;
• Solid knowledge and experience in processes, Bank systems and/or project management
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Organized and logical thinker
• Strong interpersonal sensitivity
