We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the Markets & Securities Services team in the role of Loan Agency Client Service Associate

The jobholder will work as part of the Loan Agency Client Services team. The team consists of Client Service Managers and Associates delivering first-class relationship management services to syndicated loan transaction clients covering Project Finance, Export Finance, Real Estate, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance and Corporate Finance assets.

The jobholder will work as part of a team dedicated to performing the role of Facility Agent under syndicated loan facilities, with an initial focus on the Leveraged & Acquisition Finance loan portfolio.  The jobholder will have prime responsibility for a small, non-complex portfolio of clients/deals and will support a team of Client Service Managers.  The jobholder will be required to display a strong commitment to maintaining and improving a quality client service proposition.  The jobholder will be required to work with internal teams, both onshore and offshore, to maximise the client experience of dealing with HSBC from mandate through to final repayment. 

In this role, you will:  

·        Act as Facility Agent and Account Bank (as required) across an assigned portfolio of non-complex Leveraged & Acquisition Finance (LAF) loan transactions and provide support to Client Service Managers on more complex transactions.

·        Collaborate with internal teams from mandate to professionally onboard, execute, close and fund deals, flag and resolve potential operational issues in advance of closing.

·        Manage the primary syndication process for the Facility Agent on relevant transactions via Clearpar including daily monitoring of sub-allocation data; liaison with internal teams  for onboarding and SSI verification; settlement date co-ordination; liaison with trading parties and ISV operations teams as required; and updating Debt domain post-settlement.

·        Manage amendments, waivers and consent with internal and external parties (including client, lenders and counsel). Act as an advocate for the client within HSBC.

·        Ensure ‘treating customers fairly’ principles are always adhered to.  Fully oversee end-to-end deal lifecycle from mandate to final repayment/maturity as applicable, including the closure of bank accounts (as required) and ensuring that all internal systems are updated.

·        Focus on pricing for out-of-scope events and opportunities to reprice on refinances and on amendment events. Advise and guide the offshore operations team where required, and act as an escalation point for local management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following: 

·        A good understanding and experience of the syndicated loan market and leveraged financing.

·        Experience in Syndicated Loans / loan admission / corporate lending / loan operations is highly preferred

·        Experience using Clearpar, Loan IQ and Debt domain desirable.

·        Client focussed, with a proven record of commitment to excellent customer service.

·        Experience working with senior stakeholders

·        Good communicator, both written and verbally.

·        Able to work in a pressurised environment and manage priorities effectively.

·        Strong time management and presentation skills.
