The Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme is referred to as the Mandatory Provident Fund(MPF) is a retirement protection policy implemented by the Hong Kong government on December 1, 2000 to help employees prepare for retirement savings in advance.  Both employers and employees contribute to the establishment of a fund for retirement. The core responsibility of MPF process is organise, lead and motivate the staff in Pensions Operations to provide best in class service/support to HSBC group Pensions Premium Account customers and comply with HK MPFA policy.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Officer, Data & Analytics.

  

The Opportunity:  

In January 2021, the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) appointed of the operator of the electronic MPF (eMPF) Platform. The eMPF Platform is a major infrastructure aiming to standardize and streamline the administrative models of MPF schemes. All MPF schemes administrative operations are required to migrate the platform by 2025 as per regulator MPFA's announcement.

The role of hiring is to fulfill the successful of transition/ data migration to eMPF.

  

What you’ll do:     

  • From data point of view, to perform liaison with relevant parties including vendor and pension administration colleagues in the formulation of data and technology solutions to facilitate eMPF data migration.
  • Understand the full scope of data mapping requirements.
  • Fully document scope of all related data flow, relating to each deliverable facilitating migration.
  • To undertake project by participating in working group, reviewing data requirements specification and IT documentation.To conduct and undertake walkthrough processes to advise users on the data implications of new developments.
  • To collaborate with users on required data flows to define an optimal and efficient data migration process.
  • Engage and influence key cross functional stakeholders and work with internal & external partners.
  • To assist in Monitoring of Data Quality.
  • Successful implementation of eMPF Migration.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:       

  • Associated Degree holder or above, experience in pension (MPF/ORSO) would be a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced in IT system implementation projects with basic finance (payment & receipt) knowledge.
  • At least 1 year in a Business Analysis (Data) or Data Quality or Project Management capacity is preferable.
  • Experience of Agile Approach.
  • Experience of SQL Knowledge, understand concepts of database.
  • Experience of Alteryx, IBM (iSeries/ AS400/ Query) is preferred but not a must.
