  • Finance has mobilized the first phase of a multi-year programme to transform the Finance operating model by leveraging cloud technology.  Finance Cloud Transformation will rationalize operational processes, automate data and report production, to deliver comprehensive data to our internal and external stakeholders for analysis and reporting.  The programme will entail migration of core Finance data and processes to the cloud, with an initial phase to implement a standard global operating process for Finance actuals report production, followed closely by forecast data and report production.
  • The vision for the Finance on the Cloud Programme is “to deliver standardized global processes that leverage a single dataset for reporting, analysis and forecasting.” Key programme outcomes are to deliver a singular automated data production processing capability for actuals and forecasting, correction of data once for all downstream calculations, reports, and outputs, introducing automated preventative and detective controls, significantly reduce manual activity in the run-time actuals process to allow the production of all actuals outputs by working day 5 for a monthly process

The Opportunity:

  • This role is within the Design capability for Finance on the cloud. Requirement Analysis & Design team is a team formed under change delivery and this role is expected to support Finance in the cloud design & implementation work India. The team consist of 30-40 Business analysts who are Design business analyst with techno-functional skills and subject matter experts in Financial Reporting, RWA and Liquidity domain.
  • There are quarterly releases planned for the current production system and the Requirement & design team is involved in requirement analysis, functional solution design, requirements translation into deliverables, delivery tracking during the release and support the programme/project manager.

What you’ll do:

  • work on  cloud requirements (L1 & L2- Mandatory regulatory requirement, B3R requirements, system enhancements, output requirements)
  • Work on finding the optimal design solution of the requirements by interacting with different stakeholders
  • Ensuring all the requisite project documents (functional designs, L2 solution, technical design, etc) are prepared & maintained
  • Involved in the various stages of Change Delivery cycle (design, testing, implementation)
  • Ensure all the project related risks are highlighted to the management on time
  • Ensuring agreed design timeline are met as per the deadlines by the team.
  • Ensure that any risk & issue is escalated as and when required

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Experience of Finance and / or regulatory reporting execution and delivery
  • Knowledge of regulatory rules related to RWAs
  • Understanding of design, reporting processes and systems
  • Worked with a large Global Finance team that delivers complex and transformational regulatory change.
  • Strong documentation skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Experience in the delivery of change with excellent business analysis capabilities and a track record of
  • successfully being involved in complex change projects with cross functional impacts and dependencies
  • Drive, motivation and commitment
  • Understanding of HSBC group structures, values, behaviours, processes and objectives
  • Good knowledge of the external regulatory reporting environment
  • Understanding of the HSBC operating model at Group, country and business level
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to handle multiple outputs at the same time
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with proven experience of communicating effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group in a complex global environment
  • Able to operate effectively under pressure and navigate ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills

What additional skills will be good to have ?

  • Candidates having techno functional background will be preferred.
