We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, New Business Operations.

Principal Responsibilities

  • This role provides the coordination of operational support for running the new business team for Life Operations
  • The jobholder acts as the process owner responsible for establishing and maintenance of the operating procedures that serve the Macau and HK new business and offshore Insurance Centre of Excellence, and oversight on the execution
  • Responsible for the update and maintenance of insurance application forms as the business arises and liaise with distribution channels for alignment
  • Evaluate ad hoc support requests from risk control and resource capacity perspectives to meet business needs
  • Overseeing the service provider in HK for the outsourced activities in delivering insurance policies to customers and channels in a timely manner in compliance with regulatory guideline 
  • Responsible for governance work on Third party engagement management & their regular monitoring
  • Supervise the onshore New Business team in running the various support services and activities including payments, medical reimbursement, suspense account handling reconciliation, oversee the outsourced scanning and printing activities, preparation of accruals, HNW policy preparation and policy dispatch.  Ensure tasks undertaken are supported with up-to-date step-by-step procedure manuals
  • Hands on preparation of the new business team in new product launch including putting in place the end-to-end workflow from application submission, payment and up to policy issue to ensure a smooth implementation
  • Prepare management reports on performance of the New Business team
  • Maintain sufficient and effective processes and controls identifying and mitigating risks and ensure timely escalation and resolution of all control issues and reputation risks. Acts as action owner on internal control reviews and audit
  • File incident report, identify remediation actions, and enhancement of control processes
Requirements
  • University degree in Business or related discipline                       
  • Sound technical knowledge of Life Insurance operations
  • Solid experience in New Business and/or Policy Administration of Life Insurance industry and familiar with Insurance Life Products
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving ability, flexible and with can-do attitude
  • Take accountability with strong sense ownership to issues, outreaching character, open to challenge, well organized and attentive to details
  • Strong English writing skills, computer skill in Excel, vlook up, Pivot table, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing. Able to escalate issues in written communication in an organized and structured presentation with minimal supervision from reporting manager
