The Opportunity:

  • Support the business entailing a high degree of regulatory compliance and reputation risk, particularly with respect to risks arising out of non-compliance with extensive and complex regulations
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures for Business Area
  • Manage preliminary investigation reports for the Business Area to meet established standards in the Service Level Agreement
  • Performs job performance evaluations and human resources management for assigned direct reports
  • Identifies and provides regulatory and technical training to direct reports and other members of the team
  • Establishes and maintains relationship with business partners and all relevant business units
  • Identifies and coordinates utilization of external resources to assist direct reports in completing assignments

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure team meets the set productivity target and Quality target month on month.
  • Ensure monthly Governance communications have been circulated with appropriate process updates reporting and flagging of breaches and/or potential breaches
  • Timely and accurate updating of the management information and / or Case MIs as applicable.
  • Proactive and responsible approach to urgent/high priority requests and queries from onshore/RMs been assigned completed and reverted within timely manners.
  • Ability to handle process initiatives like UAT, assessing and delivering the impact of policy changes, process re-engineering automation activities and timely escalation being adhered.
  • Assume responsibility during crisis situations with respect to volumes, escalations, attrition etc. with appropriate BCP testing in place.
  • Timely circulations of group wide cascaded, procedural updates PLAs, SLAs and KPIs are in place and annual sign-off from onshore completions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines prepared for Audits.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • Interpret regulatory/policy changes and understand their implications. Ability to establish action points arising out of the same and incorporate the impact within laid down procedures.
  • contributing to positive and productive environment through openness, flexibility, positive attitude and prompt reporting and escalation of issues and proper time management.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any stream along with Excellent Communication skill - Written and Verbal (Essential).
  • Minimum of 18months work experience in WPB CDD environment.
  • Ability to meet committed deadlines to remediate the assigned customer portfolio in line with the agreed book of work (BOW) in a challenging environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving and changing priorities. Procedures change frequently; selected candidates are expected to implement the changes immediately with minimal re-training.
  • Ability to identify gaps in the process and recommend changes to streamline the process
  • Experience of working in a financial service/banking environment and an understanding of the need for compliance with regulations and the FSA’s TCF principles
  • Exemplary professional communication, influencing and inter-personal skills, required for coaching, providing feedback, training and reporting on activities
  • Extensive experience in people manager role. (Essential)
  • Is self-motivated to achieve quality and production targets in line with the department/individual goals
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel – Ability to create reports and interpret data
  • Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Experience of working on the following banking systems::-  Verint, HUB, Browser, Outlook or equivalent.
  • Possession of basic training capabilities will be an added advantage.

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Review the process procedures and guidelines on a quarterly / bi-annual basis and ensure that all procedural updates are being incorporated. Ensure the procedures are available on a read only format for the teams to access and use as reference
  • Identify gaps in procedures and highlight to the Business Partners on a timely basis and follow through correction
  • Efficient Organization skills
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
