We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, Portfolio Accounts & Events, Merchant Growth, PayMe.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Developing effective strategies to manage a portfolio of merchant relationships, executing intensive Customer Life Cycle Management (CLCM) of Merchant Relationship Deepening and Retention strategies to deepen merchant loyalty and our revenue

  • Responsible for operating model for merchant servicing and new merchant onboarding en masse, collaborating with various internal organisations to ensure merchant experience is best in class

  • Foster & encourage teamwork, staff participation and contribution towards process improvements and controls

  • Growing sustainable revenues and cross sell different products from the existing merchant portfolio and through targeted onboarding of new merchants

  • Ensure compliance and relevant control measures to minimize risk exposure

  • Responsible for strategic participation and engagement in high profile local events and relevant industry forums to drive PayMe awareness and penetration among SME merchants, targeted to identify new opportunities and increase its commercial impact

  • Be the primary interface with Hong Kong Commercial Banking and Business Banking Segment on behalf of PayMe with respect to business development

  • Manage external partners to ensure PayMe strategic objectives are achieved and maintained. Mange and nurture excellent relationship with partnerships for long-term collaboration

Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Experience in a customer facing role, where commercial banking frontline / Fin-tech working experience is an advantage, dedicated to providing superior customer service to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations

  • Strong analytical skills with a proven business and operational acumen as well as delivery-focused mind-set

  • Portfolio management experience with the ability to build strong and lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders through excellent written and verbal communication skills and confident interpersonal skills

  • Must have a clear understanding of HSBC Values and proven experience in executing strategic partnership opportunities

  • Knowledge of the local digital wallet and FinTech / Banks' digital innovation trend and competition in Hong Kong

  • Be curious – Whilst fintech and technology innovation experience is advantageous, an inquisitive and curious mind-set around banking technology and the changing external fintech landscape is a must

  • Attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously without supervision

  • Relationship/stakeholder management and influencing skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both Cantonese and English with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
