We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Operational Resilience Analyst. 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within / across GB/GFs and regions to deliver collective goals in line with the IT Resilience and Vulnerability Management strategies and priorities
  • Support the team in driving the adoption of IT Resilience and Vulnerability Management discipline best practice
  • Support regulatory / audit assessment and examination cross markets, e.g., SOX
  • Support the implementation of operational resilience framework across markets
  • Assist and support markets to continuously improve their control environment through issues analysis and read across
  • For Vulnerability Management (list non exhaustive):
    • Enforce the best practice to ensure the appropriate policies, control standards and procedures in place
    • Support the technology team in the Asia-Pacific markets on managing technology risk and vulnerability, designing and oversight of risk mitigation activities
    • Oversee Cyber risk in ASP and coordinate the MSII to reflect the risk to the Senior management
  • For Tech Resilience Management (list non exhaustive):
    • Prepare the supporting documents, and facilitate, where needed, the presentation of Changes, Incidents, Spotlights in the Resilience Forums
    • Drive the resolution of the actions and follow-ups emerging from the forums
    • Ensure controls are met, matured, and are fit for purpose
    • Identify, plan, execute and measure process interventions, improvement actions, etc
  • Maintain close communication with Lead Technology Executives and IT teams and coordinate the Change and Incident topics for presentation within the ASP Resilience and Control Uplift forum, with attendees from all COOs, CIOs and other senior stakeholders from ASP
  • Follow up on the actions resulted from the forum by coordinating with the IT stakeholders and drive the actions to closure
  • Plan for Spotlights sharing to the executive group to enable some key metrics, interesting topics, and new Service Management process and policies are known to the regional stakeholders
  • Conduct in depth analysis of the effectiveness and look for continuous improvement of the forum
  • Work on other business management initiatives as required
Requirements
  • University-level degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field
  • Qualification in related business discipline is an advantage
  • Solid Business Analyst or Project Management experience would be a definite advantage
  • Strong knowledge of a banking technology infrastructure and development environment would be very useful
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate and drive discussion across business functions and stakeholders
  • Maintain can do attitude and stay positive towards challenges
  • Being open, dependable, connected and align the HSBC values
  • Ability in working under pressure
  • Able to adapt in global team culture and communication in different locations
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English
  • Good command of spoken Mandarin would be an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to foster partnership among project participants and collaborate with them to ensure successful project delivery
