Within International Wealth and Premier Banking, we serve 41 million customers globally, including 6.7 million who are international, from retail customers to ultra-high net worth individuals and their families. The International Wealth and Premier Banking Chief Operating Office supports the business to deliver exceptional customer journeys and increase efficiency across our global network. We support the business through effective governance, financial and risk management, transformation, and operational management, ensuring that all International Wealth and Premier Banking business units and markets have the right capabilities and procedures to compete effectively and grow safely. We work in an agile manner and at pace, partnering with teams in Technology and Digital Business Services to bring innovative, digital-first solutions to our customers.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Operations Manager, Wealth.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Manage day-to-day operational activities to safeguard the Bank from potential loss
  • Deliver high standard of customer services
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring
  • Contribute towards the continuous improvement of the department
  • Contribute towards the development and performance of staff
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Undergraduate or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience in banking or other financial institutions 
  • Experience in wealth or securities related operations, such as settlement, corporate actions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with change mindset. Knowledge of data and system analysis
  • Experience in managing projects and change management skills with agile way
  • Ability to manage timelines and individuals with pressures and make time critical decisions
  • Excellent communication, resourcefulness, ability to work independently and in a team
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
