The Operations Manager role will lead operational functions for the Check payments scheme.  The role will lead a multi-site team and work with business partners across the organization to ensure exceptional customer experience and recommend process improvements and efficiencies. This role requires knowledge of US Check clearing and investigations processes, including Regulation CC (Collections and Checks), ECCHO (Electronic Check Clearing House Organization), and UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) Regulations/Rules. 

As our Operations Manager you will:

  • Manage operational functions in both onshore and offshore locations, ensure policies and controls are adhered to while manage escalations for the check product
  • Identify efficiencies across both onshore and offshore teams, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert 
  • Participate in and lead projects while partner with key stakeholders Product, LOBs (Lines of Business), Technology, Functions, etc
  • Lead team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of exceptional customer service while adhere to all applicable regulations and rules
  • Have communication and develop partnerships with a variety of businesses for the purpose of drive operational efficiencies and enhance client journeys

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $78,700.00 and $118,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Knowledge in Banking and Check Operations Payment 
  • Experience in lead and develop a team of onshore and offshore staff or related experience while ensure appropriate oversight
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills with strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Risk management experience with strong computer and software skills 
  • Understand of end-to-end systemic structures and functionality of the process/investigation platforms and related operational service activities of the business 
  • Knowledge and experience in manage vendor contracts, access as well as and overall cost management 
  • Effective risk assessment and control monitor
  • National Check Professional (NCP) accreditation
