The UK Private Bank and Wealth & Premier Solutions business is a Global Strategic enabler and as such there is significant investment in the Transformation portfolio with a clear Strategy to deliver against.  The portfolio spans across multiple domains, being delivered by the UK and Global teams, these programmes are crucial for achieving the desired business outcomes and delivering revenue targets. 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Portfolio Manager within the Business Services function. This role will support the Head of Portfolio Management in the oversight and management of strategic change initiatives and in ensuring the successful execution of change projects and achieving portfolio success.

In this role you will:

  • Create a comprehensive overview of change programmes across the Portfolio, providing a clear view of the portfolio, anticipated and actual benefits, status and resource supply demand

  • Assist in discussions to ensure that the portfolio aligns with the overall strategy and can be effectively delivered concerning resource demand and supply, financial aspects, timing, and benefit realisation.

  • Manage the New Demand process and play an active role in the process of prioritising the portfolio and its components.

  • Oversee cost management of the CTB portfolio including Direct Costs ensuring they remain within tolerance

  • Identify and support prioritisation discussions within the portfolio based on their impact and alignment with HSBC, WPS and GPB&W strategy

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

Proven experience in portfolio strategic management and change management.

Significant Wealth Management or Private Banking experience

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams

Proven experience in monitoring and tracking the progress of change initiatives, identifying deviations, and taking corrective actions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
