The Opportunity: 

  • The Creative Manager will enable the Presentations and Design Services (PDS) Team to consistently deliver high‐quality creative work by providing art direction, branding advice and technical guidance, closely monitoring quality standards and assisting the Creative Director in implementing various improvement initiatives
  • The Creative Manager will be responsible for the design integrity of marketing communications projects and programmes through strategic direction, development of tight creative concepts and seamless execution. Also responsible for leading a team of designers and ensuring that work is consistent with HSBC Group Brand Design quality standards

  • Delivery of work that follows content and design guidelines, and industry best practices
  • Ensure team adherence to department guidelines, compliance regulations, policies and procedures regarding content and design through constant communication and regular implementation; monitor initiatives, including training, and coaching the team leads that are tasked with implementing them
  • Bring fresh direction and insight to creative, while maintaining defined design standards
  • Develop/maintain a thorough understanding of the PDS business and assigned channels/business areas
  • Participate with business partners in developing marketing and communications strategies
  • Positions PDS as a consultant and subject-matter-expert
  • Jointly manage high-level design jobs with the production managers
    Typical targets and measures
  • Works with other specialists to produce, check and deliver all Presentation materials and related projects within
  • HSBC template guidelines set by HSBC Group Brand and Marketing team guidance
  • Ensure high quality of work by consistently taking responsibility for one's own work, reviewing it against quality standards, and consistently
  • seeking to achieve zero quality errors.
  • Build the team's ability to provide better service by regularly reporting project concerns and suggesting ways to resolve them, participating in project reviews, preparing production briefs etc.
  • Pursue design excellence by evaluation of work against both creative peers and industry standards 
  • Evaluate assigned channel/business area collaterals and make proactive recommendations for improvements Customers/Stakeholders
  • Represent the Design team during client/stakeholder meetings
  • Develop professional and harmonious relationships with GPS customers through constant, personal communication aimed at obtaining a clear understanding of the business objectives and situational context of their project requirements
  • Enables and promotes collaboration between other workstreams/delivery teams to deliver a more effective solution to clients and stakeholders

    Partner with key stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and client teams, to develop creative solutions that are both innovative and profitable
    Supervise and inspire a creative team of designers, copywriters, and other professionals, guiding them to uphold brand standards and foster creative excellence

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:
Functional Knowledge

  • Preferably, 7+ years of experience in creative design, consulting or finance within a multinational 
  • company or a similar cross-cultural environment
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, with strong expertise in PowerPoint
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Familiarity with video content creation, including storyboarding, editing, animation, and 
  • post-production, using Adobe Premier and After Effects or similar applications
  • Develop and execute creative concepts for various marketing campaigns, ensuring they align with brand guidelines and resonate with target audiences
  • The ability to generate original ideas and transform them into visual concepts.
  • Print production: Strong knowledge of print production and colour separation
  • Creativity: Able to develop highly creative concepts that effectively delivers the client's brief based on the given demographics through clear direction given to an individual or a team, familiarize oneself regularly with the HSBC product associated with it and was able to consistently meet his/her client's expectations and able to deliver HSB
