We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the team in the role of: Principal, Alternatives Capability.

The purpose of the role will be to assist the Global Head of Alternatives with setting the short, medium and long-term product strategy. You will work in collaboration with the Business Heads, Investment, Responsible Investment (RI), Product, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Comms and Sales teams to deliver the agreed strategy and optimise distribution and client retention for the Alternatives strategies

In this role you will:

•    Identify opportunities and next strategic steps for the Alternatives business, including product prioritisation and pricing
•    Work with Alternatives teams and Sales to ensure the optimised distribution of the Alternatives products in line with the strategy
•    Help to define client sales and support model, defining organisational alignment and clarifying roles and responsibilities both within Alternatives, and between Alternatives, broader AM teams and Sales
•    Work with Sales, lead fundraising planning and process across all Alternatives capabilities

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•    Proven background of working within the alternative’s product space is crucial as is exposure to cross border
•    You will possess a collaborative and collegiate style with a client centric and commercially focussed approach and a global strategic outlook
•    Strong stakeholder and organisational skills are paramount, you will be a self-starter who is comfortable with working autonomously
•    Possess an interest in distribution with solid leadership attributes and setting the example in terms of Asset Management culture, values and beliefs
•    Exposure to working across the group, different functions and business lines is ideal
