Real Estate Services (RES) is focused on Workspace Experience & Operations, Construction Management, Portfolio Management, ESG and Workplace Safety.

Business Risk & Resilience (BRR) is a new function focusing on the Control Office, Operational Resilience, ServCo, Business Continuity, Protective Security and Third Party Risk.

One of our more complex functions within BRR, Protective Security (PS) has responsibility for managing physical risk and a number of additional security related responsibilities. Physical Risk arises from several different sources which are primarily criminal in nature or intent – armed robbers, opportunist thieves, organised gangs, terrorists, social or political activists, vandals etc. Protective Security also manages several activities which fall outside this including executive/close protection, event security, travel security, personal risk assessments, kidnap, and ransom.

           

Working alongside partners the jobholder provides professional security management advice, with an emphasis on electronic systems. Some of the key business benefits aims to countering crime, civil unrest, and terrorist activity against the bank. Reducing potential losses and any reputational damage. This is achieved by collaborating with colleagues from across the Group & Market teams, other business areas, counterparts in other organisations and law enforcement.

This position reports into the Global Product Specialist and supports in contributing and executing on the technology strategy for the organisation. This role ensures that all aspects of local regulatory requirements are adhered to in conjunction with the Group and Regional FIM/Guidelines.

Works in partnership with key stakeholders and strategic partners to define a strategic set of products and services for deployment across the organisation. An exciting dynamic technology stack including electronic access control, intrusion detection and alarm, security video systems, biometrics, capital management, operational technology and workplace experience. Plus, any other existing or new electronic or technology-based systems within our business lines.

In this role you will:

·         Management of a globally available portal showcasing approved technology for use in PS, including but not limited to, detailed reports, findings and use cases. Working in partnership with 3rd parties to address known issues and findings.

·         Assist with the maturity uplift with our own Vulnerability and 3rd Party Intelligence.

·         Assist in implementing the strategic direction for the technology environment, actively engaging and informing a range of stakeholders to create a consolidated global view.

·         Work alongside HSBC Cybersecurity Research to facilitate and schedule product testing, the management of any findings with manufacturers and the Business before deploying on to the bank network.

·         Point of contact for local, regional and global cybersecurity teams regarding products and service intelligence, vulnerabilities and remediation.

·         Assisting with the management of the entire product lifecycle, present solutions, improvements, ideas and features to leadership and stakeholders.

·         Assisting with the implementation of an edge product global standard and approach to cyber incident and forensic requirements, inventory automation, firmware governance, access management and certificate management across the estate.

·         Providing security consultancy as required for the delivery of projects to ensure business objectives are achieved and regulatory and operational risks are controlled. Participate in project meetings with relevant stakeholders for the entire life cycle of the commissioned system/product

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·         Demonstrable experience within a Mid-Level (Cybersecurity Analyst) or Advanced-Level (Cybersecurity Manager, Cybersecurity Engineer) role

·         Strong experience with Cybersecurity controls and enterprise risk management

·         Able to compare different solutions and provide technical thought leadership in the evaluation of new technologies to meet business requirements and influence key stakeholders leading to adoption.

·         Experience of working with enterprise or global systems and solutions, including Externally Hosted and Cloud based solutions and the associated governance processes

·         Good understanding of the project development lifecycle, project management and planning with experience in managing the security elements of a project plan

·         Excellent analytical, written, verbal and communication skills

This role is based in Sheffield and offers hybrid working.
