HSBC Market & Securities Services (MSS) provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic fund services including fund administration, global custody and sub-custody settlement and services. Securities Lending Operations is a dynamic department that works with partners across the HSBC Global Banking and Markets business to deliver Securities Lending solutions to clients.
 
We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the team in the role of Quantitative Analyst - Front Office
 
The primary purpose will involve integration of the underlying mathematical models and analytical tools used by the FX, Fixed Income, Credit, or Equities desks at HSBC.

In this role, you will: 
 
• Develop technical solutions using C++ and carry out interest rate curve building, supporting the transition of FX and rates libraries
• Proactively work with your stakeholder group across various business functions (Risk, Finance, Trading etc) to develop the required models for pricing/structuring
• Design, develop, test and document the model integration workflows developed to HSBC standards
• Contribute to improvements of the quality of the code and of the testing environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
 
• Proven background as a front office Quantitative Analyst, with expertise in interest rates and curve analytics specifically, is paramount
• Solid background in quantitative finance: stochastic calculus, partial differential equations, no-arbitrage valuation, numerical analysis with knowledge of the main instruments used in FICC business
• Strong C++ skills (C++11 or beyond appreciated), knowledge of Excel and Python
• A strong relationship builder with experience with version control systems (such as Git) and distributed software development process.
• Extensive experience of leading teams, open minded and team spirit oriented with the ability to work in fast-paced environment, with proven ability to handle multiple outputs at one time.
 
The base location for this role is London
