HSBC’s Global Payments Solutions (GPS) serves as a core service provider to Corporate and Institutional Banking customers.
The role holder is responsible for the strategic positioning of GPS across Global Network Banking (GNB) Clients embedding GPS as the cornerstone product for GNB client relationships to drive growth ahead of the market. The role is accountable for establishing a best-in-class GPS proposition for the GNB segment in the UAE that is supported by an optimum coverage model.
The job holder will report to the Regional Head of Corporate Sales, GPS and the working location for this position is HSBC Tower, Dubai, UAE.
In this role, you will:
• Be accountable for driving and delivering revenue growth from GPS solutions for GNB customers in the UAE.
• Design and build a market leading Regional Treasury Centre proposition supporting regional relationship managers and GPS business development managers to bring complex structures to regional relationships.
• Be the connection between the specific needs of GNB clients and the GPS product developments to evaluate solutions and propositions considering the whole network to bring the most amount of value to the client.
• Proactively originate, lead and drive GPS opportunities and discussions across the GNB portfolio in the UAE and do so in coordination with other GPS franchises, as well as lead the development and the execution of sector-specific and corridor GPS-led initiatives.
• Enhance GPS Sales’ consistency and coordination across GNB in the UAE, in close alignment with global efforts to boost focus and drive on the GB segment.
• Champion digital to enable HSBC to meet the needs of GNB clients through consistent digital channels requiring minimal service requirements.
• Monitor customer feedback to drive initiatives to deliver an exceptional customer experience across the GNB network utilising expertise from all of HSBC.
• Be a subject matter expert to identify market trends and future opportunities of significant potential for GNB and GPS, which includes supporting and/or running with responses to RFP’s.
• Deepen customer relationships through championing business co-operation with key stakeholders across HSBC and ensure strong networks with key external stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a team and be responsible for their results.
• Manage your/team portfolio of clients and inspire people to create an inclusive, high performing, customer-centric culture
• Support the Regional Head of Corporate Sales in driving growth initiatives and Sales best practices. Consistently role model the Business Development competencies; providing guidance and coaching to team members where necessary
• Maintain and observe all HSBC control standards and implement and observe the Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
• Foster a compliance culture. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.
• Proactively develop and execute risk mitigation measures to protect the Bank and its customers from all regulatory, compliance and service issues.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Strong knowledge of the payments industry and understanding of broader fintech ecosystem, trends, stakeholder dynamics and consumer preferences. A proven track record of delivering high impact results in relation to Sales strategy, execution, and sector initiatives.
• Strong track record of leading and motivating high performing teams. Leadership experience in leading High motivated team is advantageous.
• Excellent networking with ability to build and maintain influential relationships with senior-level executives at large, complex organizations.
• Ability to demonstrate high levels of resilience, delivering under pressure to tight deadlines in a change oriented, fast paced environment.
• Adopts an inclusive approach, values diversity of thought and continually seeks new perspectives and feedback.
• Excellent communication presentation and influencing skills both oral and written.
• Strong understanding of the market, trends, competitive environment, and regulatory environment.
• Strong ability to bring new ideas to drive growth and sales intensity.
• Graduation degree is a MUST – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
• Under the New Labour Law, only fixed term contracts shall be available to all employees of HSBC UAE (except DIFC and ADGM employees) – hence in line with the term of work permit, a 4 years’ contract would be issued.
