We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

·        The SQ function is provide sales quality service to HSBC Broker to provide assurance that HSBC Broker’s customers are treated fairly and recommended products that are suitable for their needs and appetite for risk, and staff behaviours are performed appropriately during the service and sales journey.  

·        The SQ team should ensure that sales process is performed and documented in line with HSBC policies and procedures as well as being compliant with respect to both internal and external requirements.

·        This role reports into the COO, HSBC Broker appointed for the SQ Function and will perform a number of tasks related to the SQ business including reviewing sales according to the process identified across HSBC globally. The role holder is responsible for ensuring that all the relevant testing and monitoring are carried out accurately and according to the process designed under guidance and supervision by HSBC Broker.

·        The purpose of this job is to lead, motivate and develop the SQ Team including managing, coaching and communicating the sales risk reviews and staff conducts by ensuring that priority is addressed. The SQ staffs will be part of the SQ function by reviewing sales quality monitoring according to the process currently identified across HSBC globally.

·        Success in this role will be dependent on the role holder’s ability to follow the process and identify any issues related to the sales suitability risks including the provision of regular updates and provide support to HSBC Broker.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

·        At least 12 years’ experience in a variety of banking areas and functions.

·        Appropriate local certifications for Sales/Risk roles

·        Qualification in Financial Planning preferable

·        Comprehensive knowledge of Financial Services/industry/products/regulation

·        Ability to make important decisions and take decisive actions

·        Communicate at all levels with confidence (written and verbal)

·        Ability to lead and coach a team

·        Good working knowledge of HSBC and the WPB division including relevant sales and risk systems

·        Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of HSBC Sales Suitability Standards and Sales Procedures and application in a holistic planning approach

·        Excellent organisational and coaching skills

·        Ability to understand urgency and prioritisation when required

·        Strong sense of conduct risks
