What you’ll do:

  • Input into strategy and design for API lifecycle process with the goal of defining an API governance framework
  • Manage lifecycle of APIs from discovery to customer activations
  • Understand the broader API ecosystem within WPB to build plans for supporting the evolution of existing APIs. Reduces the likelihood that duplicate APIs will be built.
  • Build strong relationships with internal customers to facilitate adoption of API standards and tooling
  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to build tools and frameworks for APIs
  • Define and track KPIs that measure the performance and maturity of our external and internal APIs.
  • Working with the Product Managers to establish effective controls, procedures and quality assurance processes for the product, in line with internal Group Risk and Controls framework
  • Improves visibility on the demands.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge in design Restful APIs against industry best practices
  • Understand End to End API lifecycle Design time and Runtime aspects
  • Relevant experience in maintenance of API lifecycle
  • Practice API strategy cantered on critical domains.  Enforce API design is aligned to the enterprise API and domain strategy
  • Define and manage API landscape
  • Experience with Swagger/Open API specifications
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to bring rigour and structure and effective solutions to poorly-defined problems
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in a global environment is desirable
