The Opportunity:
Where you will contribute to the entire delivery lifecycle of products and services, from inception to ongoing management within a collaborative pod. What you’ll do:
• Work in GPS (Global Payment Service) Engineering POD and deliver projects as planned and with quality to help achieving business objectives.
• Various types of projects for enabling business growth and streamlining end-to-end business procedures.
• Participate in technical design, program development, unit test, support SIT /UAT, release and ongoing IT governance work.
• Work closely with various IT teams on production incident support.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Maintain a good working relationship with relevant stakeholders such as business & operation users and IT partners.
• Solve the technical problem in project development efficiently.
• Ensure the program code go through the required cybersecurity and quality scan via approved tooling.
• Prepare project related documentation and ensure compliance and audit policies strictly followed.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree of Compute Science, Software Engineering of related major. (Other major is also acceptable if the candidate holds sound knowledge and good experience as required below)
- 8+ years’ experience in Java back-end development with HTTPS, RESTful API, micro services and message queue, good sense and experience in high-availability service architecture
- 5+ years experience in Cloud based application development(GCP/Azure/AWS)
- Good experience in SQL and one of the datebase MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle or Postgres SQL. (preferably in Postgres SQL)
- Hands-on experience in driving innvoation
- Good to have following experience
- Experience in high-volume data processing and compute
- Experience in building services on cloud
- Experience in production support
- 5+ years Tech Lead experience
- A good learner with curiosity and passion in technology, who keeps updating his/her knowledge and knows how to acquire knowledge for problem resolving
- Good communication skills to be able to express complex problems logically and briefly and to explore and dig information from surface. Skills to facilitate
- meetings or give presentations.
- Good sense of commitment and ownership, and a team player, preferably having agile team experience
- Able to work under pressure and flexible in different nature jobs.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Having banking data domain knowledge would be an advantage.
- Cloud related development experience is a plus.
- Effective communication skills in written/oral English.
