The Opportunity:

Role holder will be responsible to cover entire ASP & MENAT country regulatory landscape for MSS IT is including MSS JV entities in Asia & MENAT. The role holder is responsible for conducting oversight and/or overall ownership of country regulations, controls, notwithstanding the sub-controls that may sit underneath. Risk Owners may have delegated the responsibility for the conduct from controls perspective. Support the development and implementation of controls for effective risk management.

   

What you’ll do:

  • Utilizing SME knowledge to support the business, and identifying and make decisions on how to implement changes that mitigate risks that may result in the first and second Lines of Defense (1 & 2LoD) performing their role more effectively
  • Supporting the design and maintenance of the monitoring methodology, standards, processes and procedures (and training thereof). Overseeing the development and maintenance of effective tools and technology to support the activity
  • Implementing and driving continuous improvement of an operating model for the end-to-end conduct of particular controls in partnership with control owners, risk stewards and risk owners.
  • Working with control owners in prioritization of potentially divergent and conflicting requirements from a broad range of stakeholders in a BAU context.
  • Providing coordination necessary to manage the response to critical incidents with significant implications (i.e., crisis response) and other high priority threats requiring a coordinated response.
  • Sharing information to continuously adapt and improve controls and support the business in their first line responsibilities.
  • Timely escalating information on the most significant controls findings to senior management to support and facilitate a strategic appraisal of the relevant risks.
  • Continuously seek to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the function.
  • Establish seamless, trusting and mutually supportive relationships with stakeholder in other Global Functions and/or Lines of Business. 
Requirements
  • Track-record of developing and implementing risk controlling & monitoring standards and controls.
  • Strong risk awareness on identification, mitigation and control.
  • Extensive track-record of leading multi-disciplined teams to deliver exceptional customer service and value.
  • Proven ability to deliver change globally across matrix-based organizations
  • Strong Influential communication and interpersonal skills, able to operate well across cultures and in multicultural, diverse work environment.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English, especially proficient in email communication and reporting
  • Willing to learn, explore and implement new and emerging technologies.
  • Superior in relationship management, consultative and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment to deliver high quality results under tight schedule and high pressure
  • Knowledge of Investment Products, Financial Planning, Portfolio Management is highly preferred.
  • Experience of working in a DevOps focused environment and working in an Agile Team, and knowledge of DevOps tooling such as ARCAD, Jira, Confluence, RTC is preferred.
  • Able to work at flexible hour for late evening meeting with colleagues in various regions
