We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of FICC Infrastructure DevOps Engineer.  The FICC Infrastructure DevOps Engineer is responsible for providing DevOps tooling and hands on expertise within a core infrastructure team

 

In this role you will:

 

·         Designing and developing features and systems to meet the needs of the business.

·         Working as a full stack engineer across the FICC asset class

·         Responsible for innovation in infrastructure and implementation of new technologies and the on-going support of hardware and software solutions across both live and non-live environments

·         Deliver and provide technical support for DevOps technologies while conforming to high quality standards and best practices

·         Develop tooling to automate Infrastructure as a code with CI/CD. Building automation capabilities to support the execution of operational activities

·         Advise on Infrastructure design, development, and best practices

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·         An expert in Linux – scripting, automation and basic or advanced administration

·         Proven experience developing tools to automate Infrastructure as a code with CI/CD.

·         Proven experience Orchestrating and configurating management of resources using Ansible / Chef / Puppet / Terraform or similar

·         Proven development programming experience in Python, Java/JavaScript or similar

·         Exposure to DevOps Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) solutions such as Git, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus

·         Web application development, maintenance and knowledge of related technologies such as HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs. TLS Certificates, DNS, load balancing, web servers

·         Exposure to Containerisation solutions – Docker, Kubernetes and related technologies

·         Demonstrable experience of scripting (shell / perl / python) with automation skills

 

This role is based in Sheffield and offers hybrid working.
