We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager Distribution Performance and Conduct Management.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Support the Global Insurance Incentive Committee & Global Insurance Distribution Risk Committee, including preparing agendas & packs, writing minutes, following up on actions and maintaining risk logs
  • Conduct sense check on data and provide insightful commentaries on reports submitted by markets
  • Collaborate with local, regional and global 1LOD and 2LOD stakeholders in producing high quality and succinct packs/papers and commentaries for key HSBC governance committees
  • Represent Global Insurance in key HSBC governance committees
  • Oversee the generation of KPI/KRI reports, ensure consistent information are presented to governance committees and track follow up actions
  • Assess read-across applicability to insurance, track market’s read-across progress and review results
  • Monitor distribution risk trends, ascertain root causes, provide meaningful insights of analysis and escalate areas of concerns early to Senior Management
  • Oversee the implementation of controls necessary to mitigate distribution risks and provide assurance to Senior Management on the effectiveness of such controls
  • Re-engineer business processes and share best practices with markets and other stakeholders actively
  • Create and deploy new distribution strategies and models in compliance with HSBC policies and procedures
  • Build strong working relationships with local, regional and global 1LOD and 2LODs stakeholders, particularly the Customers, Distribution, Risks & Controls and Finance teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Master’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in a global/regional Insurance or Banking risk and governance role, particularly in products, sales processes, channel management, managing and analyzing big data
  • Deep understanding of regulations on insurance and banking
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, particularly in delivering executive level materials and presentations in various forums
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong relationship management skills in engaging internal and external stakeholders
  • Energetic team player with a positive mindset
  • Ability to operate independently and efficiently in a complex matrix-driven environment
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Fluency in a second language would be a plus
