The purpose of the role is to manage product development, product governance and Go To market strategy for the assigned product within global electronic payment portfolio e.g. real time payments.
The role requires an individual to engage with product stakeholders and risk stewards at all levels across the globe, ensuring that Global Payment Solutions (GPS) drives delivery of products launch/material enhancements. The individual needs to ensure that our products remain compliant with regulation and global standards while managing risks. This role requires the incumbent to be comfortable in dealing with ambiguous situations.
What you’ll do:
- Primarily responsible for building the continuous risk/control monitoring setup which would cover automated functional tests and automated control testing. You will also be the operational technical SME for the risk team in general supporting various automation & reporting initiatives. Secondarily help design and implement processes to manage requests and decisions made in order to optimise how we support compliant, scalable growth across the business and how we assess our own workload, productivity, capacity and resourcing requirements.
- Lead process testing to improve control effectiveness reporting and work with Technology to minimise manual testing coverage
- Build/implement automated functional tests around key services & controls which would be one of the main pillars of continuous monitoring & oversight setup
- Build a workflow for colleagues to submit test scenarios/use cases and relevant details (scope, frequency etc.)
- Build customised dashboards which would cover control testing and functional testing outputs results/stats and support the maintenance of those dashboards
- Lead/participate in 2LoD operational implementation reviews, which would aim to validate if/how the services are being implemented as designed.
- Support risk assessment exercises for operational and resiliency risks
- Need to proactively test what we do today to automate takes and focus on clients and their servicing
Leadership & Teamwork
Able to lead and influence a large group of people, who will not have a formal reporting relationship with the individual.
Ability to co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders at global level, and get necessary decisions taken within desired timelines.
Excellent inter-personal skills and influencing skills.
Ability to coach / mentor to junior product managers in the team
Strong communication skills and fluency in English is expected.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Minimum of 12 years work experience in Transaction banking, preferably in Payment’s product management
Proven experience in product management, product commercialization, IT and operations, process improvements or project management disciplines.
Practical knowledge in solution development, business case development, requirement analysis are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex problems, interpret customer and/or operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions
Others
University degree (or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or transaction banking functions with an exposure to Product Management.
Experience in implementing large scale product development project.
Familiarity with product governance and project management disciplines.
Understanding of relevant regulatory environment and impact.
Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
