Within CIB, Securities Services provides robust and reliable solutions that help clients mitigate risk and enhance their business performance. Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments, and multinational corporations, this team covers fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Product Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Senior Product Manager to drive the platform strategy of Securities Services business as part of the Digital, Data & Innovation group within HSBC Securities Services; to lead product development of building a digital backbone for Securities Services platform solutions
  • Support digital channels strategy not limited to open banking APIs and develop the product roadmap and assist in creating and delivering the connectivity & partnerships agenda as part of Securities Services data & digital strategy
  • Oversee product development from ideation to commercialization
  • Collaborate, co-create, and influence multiple regional and global stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Product, and external participants), with the ability to persuade and drive decisions
  • Create awareness and educate internal and external stakeholders on the Securities Services platform business model strategy
  • To provide techno-functional expertise to develop the platform for data & digital solutions and associated target operating models
  • Demonstrate understanding of the Global Business and Product Strategies, market insights and translating those into solution requirements
  • To take a pro-active approach in monitoring the market and technology developments likely to be relevant to the securities services industry and solicit customer feedback on product and services to identify areas of product improvement
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in digital product management or related roles with a focus on driving innovation and leading end-to-end project delivery in financial services sector, as well as solid Securities Services domain experience
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies. Demonstrated experience and aptitude for constructively challenging the status quo, particularly in the realm of digital innovation
  • Proven track record in driving digital transformation and change and the ability to empathise with clients and their business goals and transformation journeys
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the ability to independently formulate and test clear hypotheses, and solve problems in the absence of well-defined direction
  • Proven ability to interact, influence, and build authentic relationships with internal and external stakeholders; good communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Must possess attention to detail and the ability to comprehend complex business dynamics
  • Highly strategic and creative thinker; results oriented, able to drive a ‘think client’ approach within defined risk parameters
  • Able to work in pressurised environment and manage priorities effectively and be a good team player at the same time
