We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Sales Manager, Global Payments Solutions.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Lead the Chinese Corridor stream from Cash Management Sales and liaise with the China Desk team of Relationship Managers and other stakeholders to develop and execute sub-sector strategies and client plans
  • Drive and grow existing revenue streams and develop new revenue streams by identifying and selling innovative GPS solutions to a defined portfolio of clients maximizing commercial profitability via always enhancing relationship depth. This will include contributing to the pricing, reviewing and negotiating the full range of cash management services together with effecting any cost reduction initiatives required by the Group
  • Build relationships with senior Finance, Treasury, Network and Procurement staff within the bank's clients, leveraging these to build a strong pipeline of new business opportunities across the Asia Pacific region, in particular within ASEAN
  • Drive client engagement to provide better cash management solutions by identifying and building client needs
  • Create and lead deal teams to manage complex multi-country cash management transactions
  • Be recognized as a GPS specialist with an ability to display competent knowledge of relevant products and services with the jobholder’s area of responsibility
  • Develop the bank's presence in the market, leveraging sector expertise to position HSBC as the thought leader in the cash management space
  • Work with stakeholders across the bank including RMs, Other HSBC Products, and GPS Product Management, Client Implementation and Client Service to ensure a positive client experience
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Experience working in relevant environment(s), i.e. Cash Management/Transaction Banking - Managing Chinese Corporates and Large Corporate clients
  • Experience of the New Economy sector is an advantage but not essential – a desire to quickly become a specialist in the sector is paramount 
  • Proven experience of business development and strong knowledge of cash management products
  • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs
  • Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same  
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively
