This role sits within the Securities Financing | Collateral Treasury team who maintain and support a multiple platform of inventory, pre-trade, reporting system.

The Opportunity:

Securities Financing Technology is a diverse global team that works together to build innovative sales and trading systems for the Prime Brokerage and Financing businesses. We care about working hand-in-hand with our business partners towards realising the architectural principles of simplicity, efficiency and transparency. To work within a pod of engineers deliver platform enhancements and decouple the monolithic components into smaller, independently deployable components, migrate existing on-prem applications to GCP, legacy application reengineering, and most important of all, business deliveries on Collateral Treasury Value Stream.

What you’ll do:

• Ability to design and implement end to end solution.
• Design and develop microservices and deploy using various approved patterns.
• Design and publish RESTful API's to enable real-time data consumption using GCP big query.
• Work with architecture/engineering leads and other teams to ensure quality solutions are implemented and engineering best practices are defined and adhered to.
• Follow Agile methodologies and Devops process throughout the software lifecycle.
• Develop tools and services useful in DevOps environments such as automated deployment/configuration, continuous integration/build servers, performance monitoring, security monitoring and cloud resource creation scripts.
• Develop strong technical foundation in enabling agile build, release, and environment management.
• Study and implement new tools for increased productivity, security, reliability, and performance.

• Masters/bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
• 3-6 years’ experience in large-scale software development.
• Strong programming skills in SQL is a must & Java, Shell scripting, Ansible, Spring framework experience is good to have.
• Strong experience in Apache Beam for writing distributed processing pipelines.
• Strong working experience on Linux.
• Working knowledge of building and managing CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins is a must.
• Strong Knowledge of Microservices based architecture and patterns.
• Working experience on API gateways, Load balancing etc.
• Strong skills around developing RESTful APIs.
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.
• Good experience with tools like Ansible, Maven, Confluence, Jira etc.
• Good to have knowledge on other distributed processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Aparch Flink, MapReduce etc.
• Good to have knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes etc.
• Good to have knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
