CGR (Client Global Reporting system) is an in-house developed application. It caters to Direct Custody business via a front end GUI and back end database. Taking data from each Direct Custody GHSS across 26 markets in nearly real-time basis, then feeds to HSS reporting platform for any kinds of reporting including both internal and external). It also providing data feed to other Direct Custody data consumer. The data coverage are: client and account , settlement, holding, corporate actions, fee billing and cash information. CGR is serving users globally across Asia Pacific , Middle East, North America and Europe region. we are looking for Senior Software Engineer based in Guangzhou.

 

The Opportunity:

Working with global business team to provide end to end data and reporting solution to facilitate the product needs.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Work on Linux, Cloud, Java, Oracle;

  • Develop IT solutions with providing comprehensive documents, functional design, technical design, test plan etc.;

  • Work closely with various application teams and local support teams to provide application and technical support;

  • Conduct environment setup, system tests, and user acceptance tests;

  • Provide system implementation, post-release supports and on-call support; 

  • Work closely with HSBC business and IT parties to meet business objectives;

Requirements
  • At least 3 years' experience in software development;
  • Application development experience using Java, J2EE and data technologies;
  • Experience on Spring and Spring Boot framework, API driven development and micro services, Linux distributed platform, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB is preferred;
  • Familiar with Agile/DevOps, knowledge of DevOps toolings such as Jenkins, Ansible is preferred;
  • Experience of Javascript (ES5, ES6), HTML5, CSS3, React.js, Angular, Redux, Nodejs, npm, webpack, Ajax, Groovy, Cucumber, Junit is a plus;
  • Good communication and writing in Cantonese, Mandarin and English;

 

What additional skills will be good to have?

Have an “automate first” mind-set showcasing best in class DevOps tooling and proactive mind-set and to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data.
