In this role, you will be responsible for responsible for providing support to the digital designers as well as being responsible for UX writing on all Digital design projects working closely with all stakeholders on the annual calendar of digital program delivery.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with global and local teams to ensure the design content aligns with both global standards and local market needs for the HSBC Australia mobile banking app, online banking and public website. 
  • Advocate for user-centric design principles and foster a culture of challenging existing norms to innovate better experience design. 
  • Engage in a collaborative design process with designers, digital product managers, business analysts to help deliver intuitive experiences for our customers. 
  • Ability to work in agile design sprints to iteratively develop solutions, from ideation through prototyping to final implementation, ensuring a cohesive user experience.
  • Ability to work on multiple initiatives, with meticulous record keeping.
  • Collaborate with design researchers use insights from usability testing. ensuring solutions are deeply rooted in user needs and behaviours.
  • Responsible to own and maintain the up-to-date UX writing system for the HSBC Australia mobile banking app and online journeys, ensuring  there is consistency across the global product serves the Australian population. 
  • Ability to create and update screens / UX flows using the HSBC design system
  • Support the UX designers with low to mid-fidelity content wireframes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Finance and/or business-related field with proven track record of working on multiple digital projects and large matrix organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels.
  • Experience in managing a wide range of projects, across multiple work stream teams and stakeholders of different levels, cultures, and operating models.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and ways of operating.
  • Familiarity with HSBC visual design system
  • Experience in consumer banking would be advantageous.
  • Strong research understanding of UX research.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
