They also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank. Our multi-disciplined teams include DevOps Engineers, IT Architects, Front and Back End Developers, Infrastructure specialists, Cyber experts, as well as Project and Programme managers.
Your career opportunity
Hybrid Integration Platform is a fast-paced, dynamic team to work in within CTO Enterprise Infrastructure. As well as traditional messaging, web technologies and GRID, we provide cloud native infrastructure solutions for our customers including platforms such as Internal Kubernetes Platform and HSBC Internal Cloud.
Within our Service Quality team in HIP, we manage and govern all areas of quality, risk and compliance across our engineering teams.
As a lead in Service Quality, you will drive the quality agenda across the HIP teams, including a focus on change, incident and problem, as well as controls adherence, and risk and compliance.
What you’ll do
• Drive the quality agenda for HIP, uplifting quality for change, incident and problem by performing regular reviews, implementing effective quality gates and reporting to demonstrate uplift.
• Develop quality governance processes, and provide reporting and support to a range of senior stakeholders
• Track and monitor controls adherence, work with ITSOs to uplift control gaps
• Run and manage projects to deliver adherence to new controls and metrics, co-ordinating uplift requirements with ITSOs.
• Run and manage projects to deliver strategic programmes or initiatives.
• Build trust-based relationships with key internal stakeholders including ITSOs, change raisers and senior leads including head of domain.
• Work as part of an agile team POD.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
• Proven track record of delivering high levels of service quality within an IT environment
• Strong understanding and knowledge of middleware technologies is essential
• Proven track record of governance and control, as well as project management.
• Positive outlook including problem solving, and solution-orientated thinking.
• ITIL4 qualification strongly preferred.
• Agile methodology experience, including scrum, Kanban, stand-ups etc.
• Effective communication, problem solving skills, strategic and pragmatic approach to develop solutions and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment.
• Strong People Leadership, Articulation, Strategic Planning and Execution, Networking, and Influencing Skills.
