The Opportunity:

The requirement is for a Software Engineer, ideally computer related majors, Fluent English communication.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in Agile projects. The candidate will need to work on the bespoke application development, which requires problem investigation, analyzing, solving, development while complying with all relevant IT standards, regulations and policies.

What you’ll do:

• Work with Product Owners and DevOps teams, and responsible for the delivery, on-going success & continuous improvement of a discrete set of products or business services, or shared products/platforms/environments that are used/consumed by other DevOps Teams
• Communicate with business to identify needs and translate client requirements into specified project briefs
• Facilitate communication among key stakeholders from different regions and time zones
Understand key business problem, user requirements, work with development team closely to come up technical proposals, and facilitate cost-benefit analysis
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business contacts;
• Assist on managing activities within project delivery to the business within the agreed timeframes, cost and levels of quality;
• Accountable for on target delivery to support global business objectives. Establish and maintain service level agreements and are a point of contact concerning service issues.
• Provide project coordination and system expertise to support the delivery of IT related projects in accordance with both group and local requirement.
• Conduct the overall QA & testing activities & support user acceptance test
• Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese;
• A highly-motivated individual with positive and proactive attitude;
• A fast learner with effective planning, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Proactive, possess an outgoing personality, self-motivated and be able to work independently and under pressure 
• Willingness to work with the team/business in different time zone occasionally
• Proactive and willing to learn new technologies, e.g. big data, Azure, GCP, Ali Cloud or AWS
What additional skills will be good to have? (List out good to have skills and certifications)
• Development experience with OO design and design patterns. Ability to develop in all tiers of the application (presentation, business and database)
• Knowledge of cloud based development, experience in micro services
• Knowledge in capital market, financial products or post trade processing is a plus
• Familiarity with development best practices including unit testing & source control (knowledge of GitHub, Stash would be a plus).
• Other technical skills can be advantageous but are not essential namely (Continuous Integration, Jenkins, Ansible, Sonar, Selenium, Scala, Kotlin)
• Agile Test Driven Development
