The Opportunity:  
The Software Engineer role is open only to targeted PWD (Person With Disability) candidate. The job holder will take responsibility of system integration testing, customer integration testing and end-to-end testing support. He or she will analyze, document, test, and implement new system function and assist in delivery of system enhancements. This role will co-ordinate with business representatives and delivery teams, and encourage best practices in the development of technical solutions by HSBC Technology China, thereby ensuring delivery of qualitative and cost efficient system solutions on time to exceed internal customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do:  
•  Analyze, design, develop and implement IT solutions to meet business requirements
•  Conduct system test, user acceptance test and provide support on system implementation
•  Ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices
•  Prepare project related documentation and ensure compliance and audit policies strictly followed
•  Provide in-depth knowledge transfer and on-job training / guidance to improve team productivity
•  Work closely with global and regional stakeholders on projects delivery
•  Maintain effective and good relationship between the business and the IT Project team, managing appropriate business expectations and negotiating compromise where appropriate

•  Software development and strong coding skills (preferably with Java/Spring, Python)
•  Understanding of iterative style of application development
•  Experience with test automation of backend/API Platform/ CICD Components
•  Deep knowledge and understanding of testing methodology
•  Strong problem solving skills
•  Able to work in an English working environment

What additional skills will be good to have?  
• Junior College graduate with Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience
• Working experience in Agile methodology/SAFe
• Self-motivated, positive, and flexible with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team
