We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team 

The Opportunity:

• Liaise with all stakeholders to prepare estimation and project plans, schedule and allocate tasks when necessary
• Lead work stream(s) independently in case of project need and perform planning and coordination work to ensure successful project delivery with good quality
• Develop technical specification documents using defined technical documentation templates and/or develop system accordingly based on the requirement when necessary
• Follow HSBC IT engineering standards and propose improvement suggestion on project deliveries

What you’ll do:

• Apply specialist expertise in the development with the objective of improving quality and increasing cost-effectiveness
• Influence the developers through technological excellence
• Research, define and enhance the development processes with guiding the team members on technology choices, coding standards, build and deployment procedures and software release management
• Define effective standards and ensure all are followed by all team members
• Provide guidance to the development team to develop/integrate the applications and systems to deliver the agreed functional and non-functional requirements
• Work closely with the manager, Business and other IT groups (including vendors) globally to deliver the best solution
• Maintain excellent relationship with all stakeholders
• Liaise with wider teams to explore the possibility of re-use of available tools/designs/application components as required

• 10+ years software development experience
• Strong leadership skill, able to take technical decision and leading the team to success
• Fluent communication skills in English, both written and oral
• Solid experience in Global working environment
• Capable of take ownership of project
• Good stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment with proven ability to handle multiple work threads at one time
• Ability to walk up the cloud stack (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) model with modern terminology and relevance
• Excellent experience in architectural approaches including Java applications
• Excellent experience in Microservices, Docker
• Excellent experience in Distributed/Cluster/Spring boot/micro service Development
• Excellent experience in BDD/TDD/Agile Scrum/CI/CD/Devlops
• Excellent knowledge in No-SQL development, for exmaple: MongoDB
• Experience in web UIs development, like HTML5/Angularjs would be an advantage
• Good financial knowledge and business sense would be an advantage
