In this role, you will:
• Support Jira and Confluence through our internal Jira Service Desk.
• Maintain the operational environments both on-prem (Linux) and AWS
• Implementing new customisations through customer service requests:
o Jira project configurations (Workflows, Fields, Screens, Permissions etc.)
o Confluence content management (Space creation, data cleaning, user macros etc.)
o Review and piloting of new apps from the Atlassian marketplace
• General maintenance of the application and ensuring best practises
• Implementing Application Upgrades
• Maintenance of Linux Servers and Postgres Database
• Performance and reliability increases on infrastructure
• Provide training where required to users for all our tools
• Writing Python, Shell, and Groovy scripts for automation and maintenance
• Writing Terraform code and maintaining Ansible for deployment
• Creating/Maintaining CI/CD Pipelines for automation
• Close Issues within agreed SLAs
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• 4-6 years’ experience administering & supporting Jira and Confluence
• Worked within a customer facing support or engineering function
• Atlassian Certifications
• Scripting knowledge (Groovy, Python, Shell etc.)
• Working Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle etc.)
• Working Knowledge of Linux (RedHat)
• A working understanding of Cloud Platforms (ideally AWS)
• Experience working with Jenkins, Ansible and Terraform for Code as Infrastructure
• Be flexible under pressure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ask ‘why’, be inquisitive.
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to communicate with non-technical people
• Be comfortable following Scrum methodology and working within an agile, multidisciplinary team.
