The Opportunity:
Role Purpose
- As Quant within eRisk Team under Global FX, EM Rates & Commodities Asset Class, you will play a crucial role in solving problems from various areas of Business Across – Quantitative research, Analytics & Development. Research & Development of mathematical models focused on Pricing, Risk Management & Performance Attribution. Maintaining robust, & scalable code base. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of Java-based research platform end and Python based backend applications.
- We as a team are diversified with variety of skills and knowledge, and we are looking forward for an individual passionate about Quantitative Finance, Data Mining, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence using Java, Python & KDB, making user friendly dashboards etc. We as a team offer immense opportunity for learning in areas specific to Quant Research, Electronic Trading (Pricing, Execution & Risk Management), Python & Q/KDB, application of machine learning etc.
What you’ll do:
Key Responsibilities
- Quantitative Research: Pricing & Risk Management Methodologies & Algorithms for FX & EM Rates Products.
- Quant Development: Design, develop, and maintain Python and Java-based components, modules, and services for Pricing & Risk Management.
- Feature Development: Develop new modules and functions to support Analytics for FX & EM Rates Products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and implementation plans.
- Follow best practices and coding standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues reported by users.
- Deploy best solutions considering best practice in System design, Data science, Front end UI/UX, Java Development, and propose solutions to improve current products.
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Principal Requirements:
- Ideally bachelor’s in engineering, Master in Engineering/IT
- Proficiency in Python, Java, OOPs, and CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns and development methodologies.
- Familiarity with database query languages like Q/KDB, SQL.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Previous experience in finance industry, Java Development exp. is preferred.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated with the latest advancements in full stack technologies, AI/ML frameworks, and industry best practices.
