Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Team Assistant, Asset Management.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day operational support for key stakeholders
  • Manage diaries for departmental heads
  • Act as key contact with overseas office when scheduling meetings for team heads
  • Provide administrative support to the departments for example, new joiners on-boarding and exits
  • Coordinate meetings and provide administrative support for overseas visitors
  • Assist in marketing or departmental events and other projects when necessary
  • Assist in preparation of regular executive, business and department reports incl: Asia Exco, AMHK Exco Board, AMHK and HGIF Board Reports, BCM co-ordinator for BCM plan
  • Fire Marshal for each stakeholder team
  • Travel arrangements (budget, flight & hotel reservations, transport requirements) including approval from CEO and Team Heads
  • Fusion expense claims for team & department head
  • Actively participate in team meetings, demonstrate professionalism and collaboration
  • Participate in departmental projects (as required)
  • Ensure consistent usage of resources and systems
  • Ensure awareness and usage of group policies, regarding data protection, FIMs etc
  • Complete all mandatory risk control trainings
  • Information is accurate and current
Requirements
  • Fluent Cantonese and English language skills are pre-requisites; Mandarin is beneficial
  • Good interpersonal skills, both spoken and written
  • Experience is assisting a diverse team is favourable
  • Evidence of ability to prioritize tasks when faced with competing timeframes 
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines
  • HSBC Group business systems is advantageous – competence in using Microsoft Office required
