The Training Manager role sits within the Channels business of WPB.The role has responsibility for the design, delivery and coordination of training and capability activities. 

This role reports to the Channels Training and Capability Lead and will possess strong and demonstrated expertise of delivering capability and training programs, based in Head Office at Barangaroo Sydney.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitated delivery of WPB Channels Training and Capability programs either face to face or virtual delivery.
  • Contribute to Instructional Design of Training and Capability programs as required.
  • Aligning to WPBs global and local capability journey, the role is responsible for contributing towards WPBs continuous improvement in the design, implementation and coordination of capability and training requirements.
  • Evaluating content design to ensure it complies with regulatory requirements, including HSBC policies and other fiduciary and compliance obligations.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to any upcoming training requirements and partnering with Subject Matter Experts for best practice learning solutions.
  • Collaborating with Training and Capability team members to share best practice ideas and recommendations.
  • Learning Management System experience desired.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in financial services, wealth management or retail banking environments, with at least 1 years demonstrated capability and training in Retail and / or Personal Wealth Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver learning projects at a senior level across a multi layered complex organisation. Additional relevant qualifications desirable.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a passion for developing a culture of empowerment.
  • Proficiency in retail banking product, processes and procedures across onshore and offshore operations along with in depth knowledge of internal database applications and Microsoft office as a must.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, well organised.
  • Strong team motivational, analytical, planning communications, organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrating initiative and maintaining document control and data integrity at all times
  • Strong stakeholder management skills upholding a high standard whilst supporting stakeholders through an ongoing change and capability journey.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
