This helps the business make data-based decisions.

The candidate will be responsible to drive the link between Finance, Strategy and the Corporate Institution Banking (CIB) Sales force. The candidate must have a dynamic working relationship with the Sales front office to achieve this. Business partnering is required at all levels, from Sales Heads and Chief Operating Officers (COOs) through to individual Salespeople. 
The role has a high level of exposure partnering with the Corporate and Institutional Sales Excos and an opportunity to work in a dynamic, challenging sales and trading environment.

As our Vice President Business Finance Partner – Client Profitability Insights and Analysis you will:

  • Manage relationship with key customers
  • Play a key role in achieving the group’s strategic objectives by optimizing Omnia for external reporting needs
  • Spearhead the regional rollout and implementation of critical Omnia initiatives for the new CIB structure. This includes but not limited to RWA and P&L reporting capabilities for CIB new segmentation and industry
  • Enhance the Sales MI capability by leveraging the full functionality of Omnia and MI360, and drive the integration of the systems
  • This position will also be crucial in enhancing client Net Return profitability through the development and implementation of robust cost methodologies in close partnership with global team
  • Perform comprehensive, multi-jurisdictional analysis to uncover critical trends, identify risks, and provide strategic insights that drive informed decision-making
  • Work collaboratively vertically, horizontally and across multiple teams and locations.  Customers and stakeholders including CIB Business Mgmt. and Product Heads, CIB Business Finance teams, US Finance teams including CAO, ALM and others, Global CIB finance teams in London, GFOC team in India and Mexico
  • Participate in annual planning exercise and leads strategic analysis on sales and clients

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $148,000.00 and $220,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Business Partnering experience within a Finance function
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Experience of delivering and managing change
  • Analytical and commercial - Ability to bring the numbers to life and to be able to tell a story
  • Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders (at all levels of seniority)
