As Vice President Corporate and Institutional Banking Marketing; you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, client acquisition, and portfolio quality particularly in the Corporate and Institutional Banking segment 

Responsibilities:

The role holder will act as the interconnect between global campaigns, creative development, platforms and systems, to ensure local campaigns and events are delivering a best-in-class performance and are supporting global objectives. They will be the main points of contact for creative / media / digital/ event agencies – and will lead the roll out of any platform enhancement / connectivity programmes for Indonesia as well as across other scale and international markets.

They will work directly with the local Business to activate commercially-driven campaigns or events which could also be led by either global Business Marketing / Client Sector teams, or locally with the product / coverage teams, including discussing campaign targets and intended outcomes with the stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  1. Campaigns, events, digital marketing
    • Develop local and regional media plans which connect with group and support local and global business and client marketing objectives. Drive media optimization and strong ROI
    • Maintain relationships with our regional and local agency partners to negotiate strong agreements and maintain high quality of service
    • Serve as POC for the global content and campaigns teams to identify potential content pieces which would supplement a regional runway and ensure we are always on in markets – in partnership with the Business / Client leads in region
    • Develop and implement local direct-to-client marketing campaigns to achieve CIB business goals and objectives
    • Manage end-to-end delivery of strategic events, including planning, creative and content development, stakeholder alignment, vendor management, logistics, and post-event analysis
    • Leverage and add to event toolkits (templates, playbooks, guidelines, content packs) to ensure consistent execution of events, and for virtual/digital events
  2. Measurement and Insights
    • Marketing budget management, ensuring cost efficiency and maximizing return on investment
    • Track, analyze, and report on campaign, event and PWS performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
    • Utilize data insights to continuously refine marketing strategies
  3. Leadership and Teamwork 
    • Influence and work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring cohesive marketing efforts with the client/customer at the heart of decisions
    • Collaborate with the Group Brand team to ensure all campaigns and events reinforce the global brand platform and adhere to brand guidelines
    • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement
    • Promote Agile Principles and foster a collaborative working environment that reflects HSBC’s values
    • Manage relationships with external agencies, suppliers, and strategic partners to ensure high-quality delivery and innovation
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a focus on commercial marketing within global banking or financial services
  • Proven ability to translate client and market insights into effective marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Self starter with strong collaboration skills within global, matrixed organizations
  • Tertiary education required
