- To provide strategic, administrative and management support to the Business / Desk Head enabling them to execute the global GPB strategy/plan effectively and efficiently in a risk/regulatory-compliant manner
- Take primary responsibility for non-client related areas, with the appropriate authority to take and implement decisions and request involvement from colleagues/RM’s as needed.
- Ensure communication of new products, propositions and relevant market information is effectively managed within relevant business area
- Support Business / Desk Head plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increase revenue for existing ones to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximise cross-selling opportunities for the bank
- Participate in events, initiatives and activities to develop business opportunities
- Help to create an environment where simplification opportunities are identified and executed throughout the business and supporting functions
- Responsible for the ongoing identification and execution of ideas and initiatives that simplify processes in order to enable business growth

- To continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent risk in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology

- To challenge existing control frameworks in line with Simplifying Growth initiatives

- The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do,both personally and as an organisation
- The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role andinherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology
- This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational riskoccurring. Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with entity management and/or the appropriate department
The Business Manager must ensure that he/she is consistently focused on the components of the role that add day to day value to the business. Any non-value added activities should be ceased or transferred to a more appropriate part of the team

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking and financial markets
- Minimum of a BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field,or equivalent relevant experience

- Experience of formulating and delivering transformational strategic change
- Track record of working effectively within global teams and within a matrix organisation

Eligibility Criteria
- India Bank / INM employees will be eligible to apply to this role after completion of 12 months in the current role/position at the time of application on level transfer and/or promotion
- Entity Employees (not from India Bank) to be guided by their internal policy on tenure completion in current role at the time of application before applying and share line manager approval once shortlisted
- INM Employees in scope of WPB Career Progression Framework not eligible to apply to roles within the purview of the Framework
