We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President II.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Manage a portfolio of clients within the GNB team wherein major focus would be to manage relationships. and execute deals for HSBC’s global relationships across various geographies leveraging the strength of HSBC HK’s balance sheet

  • Drive and proactively grow revenues as well as increase share of wallet from existing portfolio across all product groups by working closely with sectors and product partners

  • Identify new business leads and introduce new opportunities and develop a trusted advisor status with the clients’ key decision makers in order to grow long-term relationships

  • Maintain regular contact with Global Relationship Bankers and other relevant stakeholders to grow the revenues and uphold the highest level of integrity and act as a role model for all HSBC values and business principles

  • Ensure sound credit quality and growth of assets whilst managing returns for clients

  • Communicate and liaise with various internal stakeholders (e.g. GRB, Risk, LGA, GTS, GPS, MSS, Operations) to deliver customized solutions and ensure a smooth implementation and client satisfaction

  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and perform to the highest standards, combining client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external standards that apply to the conduct of the business including but not limited to KYC, AML regulations and procedures in order to fight/ manage FCR

Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Multiple years of experience in banking and track record dealing with international / corporate clients

  • Strong banking experience with exposure to corporate lending, credit structures, risk assessment, cash and payment solutions and trade finance. Banking Experience in/across other geographies is a plus

  • A passionate client advocate with deep understanding of corporate and institutional client needs, with a demonstrable track record in delivering customer excellence on a global basis for CIB category clients

  • Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues with strong credit assessment skills, particularly towards structured facilities

  • Strategic thinker with a track record in developing and implementing market leading strategies that originate business and deliver effective client solutions across Transaction Banking products

  • Ability to interact and build trust and credibility with relationships at all levels of seniority including internal and external stakeholders, ‘C suite’, owner/proprietor client representatives, regulators and government bodies. Ability to influence without direct control

  • Cross cultural sensitivity and a dynamic personality to constructively engage with multicultural stakeholders (both internal and external).

  • Fluent in English and fluent in an additional major foreign language would be a plus
