The Chief Control Office (CCO) plays an important role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite, by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management.

The CCO achieves this by providing operational risk and control expertise, conducting high quality reviews of the bank's control environment, conducting end to end control assurance reviews on key controls, maintaining robust risk governance focused on material risk and issues, and evolving a culture of continuous and consistent risk management.

 

The Opportunity:

  • The GCB 6 role is offset by onshore FTE reduction and offshoring the roles in GSC China to align with the group strategic growth hiring, hence the critical hires fall under exceptional scope for recruitment pause.
  • The GCB 6 role will sit with Risk and Controls and be part of NFR Utility, which mainly responsible for the ongoing assessment and remediation of the AMH WPB Control Environment, also to support oversight of control activities and strengthen the effectiveness of such.  In addition, R&C team will support wider range of businesses and other markets, the GCB 6 backfill is crucial to the team and ensure all deliveries are up-to-standard.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Support the Operational Risk Management Framework related activities and ensure the deliverables are in line with Group and Regional strategy and timeline.
  • Conduct internal control reviews and testing of Fist Line of Defence(1LoD) controls to ensure compliance.
  • Review and enhance operation policies, procedures and mechanism with relevant stakeholders.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • University graduate;
  • Posses working experience from a banking/financial institution;
  • Experienced in liaising with internal/external business partners;
  • Good command of written and spoken English;
  • Experience in conducting internal controls testing / audit engagements, ideally from a banking/financial institution.
