The purpose of the Business Development function within HSBC Global Asset Management (Malta) Ltd is to take a leading role in generating new business and initiating and managing business development initiatives across internal banking channels and the institutional space. 



In this role you will:

• Support distribution of investment solutions across retail and professional channels, coordinating with wealth advisory and corporate banking teams
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with distribution teams, identifying client needs and market trends to inform product positioning, in addition to establishing new business relationships
• Proactively identify and develop sales opportunities
• Coordinate marketing initiatives, investment seminars, and product training to enhance adoption and client engagement
• Collaborate with product, investment management, compliance, legal, and operations teams to ensure governance and alignment with investment strategies and regulatory requirements
• Support the CEO in preparing the company's Financial Resource Plan, and contribute to board-level reporting on strategic initiatives whilst supporting business plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increasing revenue for existing ones, in order to achieve asset growth, sales and revenue targets

You should apply if you have: 

• Experience in business development, sales, or a related position within the Banking or Financial Services/Investment industry
• Degree or higher, in Banking and Finance/Business/Capital Markets or a related field
• A Financial Advice qualification by an accredited institution (LIBF/CISI) or in the process of obtaining
• Proven experience in client communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship building
• Proven experience in fund management, financial analysis or sales / planning (financial products)
• Sound knowledge of investment products, financial and capital markets and how these operate
