We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role AVP – Operational Resilience, CIB Risk Capability Office

Role Purpose:

The job holder high degree of autonomy to perform the responsibilities independently.   The role holder will operate under guidance from senior management / senior colleagues across CIB Business Risk, working closely with (but often independently from) Associate Director, Resilience Risk (who will also be line manager).

Main Activities

  • Robust Business Analysis working with the business to conceptualize solutions/operating models.

  • Change Adoption activities to further embed the change seamlessly, drive benefit realization and support ongoing improvement opportunity to annual lifecycle delivery.

  • Plan and play key role in executing Operational Resilience framework refresh activity, and governance preparation for the CIB in US / Mexico.

  • Delivering allocated activities supporting CIB BR across US / Mexico (with existing scope focused on GPS/CCM).

  • Proactively Lead and manage risk-related delivery of Operational Resilience refresh for the CIB Important Business Services, including preparation of governance material.

  • Plan, manage and adapt (as needed) refresh lifecycle activities to support Operational Resilience framework delivery. Working closely with GPS and CCM.

  • Collaborate and builds positive stakeholder relationships providing regular updates on progress, timely escalations utilizing support network in CIB BR team / entities.

  • Sound knowledge of the operational risk & control environment and disciplines.

  • Beneficial to understand Operational Resilience (US and or UK / global), as key focus areas of the role – or DORA (EU) / Critical Operations (HK) as comparable regulatory regimes.

Requisitos
  • 4+ years of relevant experience including background of Risk Management.

  • Resilience and Risk Management: Understanding of operational resilience, familiarity with incident management processes.

  • Governance and Oversight: Strong documentation skill, experience with oversight of programs and internal controls, familiarity with audit and compliance requirements.

  • Analytical skills and Reporting: Analysing management information (MI) and generating reports that meet dynamic stakeholder and team requirements.

  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills, with experience managing program governance and oversight frameworks, ability to drive refresh activities and coordinate cross functionally.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication, and senior stakeholder management skills.

  • Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment especially in the financial services sector.

  • Proven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions. Ability to advise stakeholders regarding process improvement initiatives.

  • Ability to prioritise and work independently under pressure within a team environment.

  • A flexible and adaptable working style.
