The jobholder will contribute to the distribution/facilitation of all alternative products and services to Private Banking.

In this role you will:

  • Be the primary point of contact for the alternative investment platform, including hedge funds advisory, fund of hedge funds, liquid alternatives, single line hedge funds, evergreen, private equity and real estate funds and mandates

  • Responsible for sales and promotion, distribution and growth of the alternative investment platform within the private bank in EMEA ex-UK, liaising with sales management to ensure proper targeting of clients.

  • Manage process for originating and on boarding funds: assess marketability, identify new product and solutions in conjunction with the investment management and research teams, initiate fund offering and marketing (review of marketing materials, reports and analysis for clients and prospects meetings, communicate timely investment updates, coordinate roadshows, investor updates).

  • Regular meetings/calls with the investment management and research teams to assess performance, strategy and risk management

  • Lead efforts to integrate alternative investment themes and ideas into regular sales meetings and presentations within the private bank in EMEA ex-UK

  • Manage relationships with internal clients (WPS, IC and RM) and external clients when appropriate

  • Coordinate with global investment strategy and WPS teams and asset class specialists to provide timely market commentary and ideas in order to generate sales in alternative investments

  • Participate and lead monthly/quarterly investment committees with clients

  • Communicate the views of AIG with regards to strategy and managers to clients and relationship managers

  • Presentations skills to large audience (internal or external) mandatory.

Requisitos
  • High level of academic education

  • Good knowledge of financial markets and alternatives such as hedge funds, private equities, real estate.

  • Experience and strong skills in sales activities of alternative investments to internal & external clients

  • Proactive, enthusiastic and self-starter personality

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and Bloomberg. Knowledge of Avaloq would be a plus.

  • Fluent in English and French; Arabic would be an asset
